If you are wondering whether your ketubah needs to look like a traditional one, this is your answer. Mazel Mazel designs strives to challenge the visual concept of the ketubah and create works of art in all styles. We also create beautiful pieces to celebrate all of life's occasions through art.
Rachel Machowsky, artist and founder of Mazel Mazel designs, studied Visual Arts at Brown University before pursuing her Master of Architecture at Columbia University GSAPP. After years of working in architecture in New York City and Chicago, Rachel discovered her true passion when designing her very own abstract ketubah for her wedding amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. A few friends and family members followed asking her to design them each a special ketubah for their own weddings, and her business took off.
Rachel finds immense joy in working with couples to design their custom ketubah that reflects their unique relationship, story, and style. She seeks to capture the essence of each couple’s life together in a piece of art that will be cherished forever as a reminder of the start of their marriage and what makes their love special. Her breadth of work encompasses everything from the nature inspired to Art Nouveau to black and white lines of abstraction.
